EMDR Therapist

Jill is a fully registered Clinical Psychologist (Registration No. 0002355068) with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (Membership No. 234787). She completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Macquarie University and a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology, Sydney. Jill has experience working across a variety of settings including private practice, parenting programs and hospital inpatient/outpatient programs. Jill has completed research in several areas including the gut-brain connection and the role of mindfulness within psychological disorders. In addition to her role at Centre Point Psychology, Jill works as a psychologist in the Mother Baby Inpatient Unit at St John of God Hospital.

Jill offers treatment for a range of adolescent and adult issues including the following:

  • Anxiety disorders including Social Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety and phobias
  • Depression and low mood
  • Body Image difficulties and Binge Eating
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Emotion regulation difficulties
  • Perinatal Mental Health
  • Workplace difficulties and stress associated with work and study

Therapeutic approach

Jill is passionate about working collaboratively with clients to explore their current experiences, improve emotional well-being and develop skills to cope with the challenges of life. The basis of her approach centres around fostering a strong therapeutic relationship with clients to ensure that each client feels that therapy is a safe, non-judgemental and open space. The therapy she provides is trauma-informed and person-centred. Jill incorporates a range of therapeutic models that target both mental health symptoms and underlying issues, according to the needs and therapeutic goals of each client. Jill works with people aged 16 and over and has additional training in attachment and parenting strategies.
