Clinical Psychologist

Julie is a fully registered Clinical psychologist (PSY0002180176). Her professional experience comes from working across various community, private and university settings.  In addition to her role at Centre Point Psychology, she works as a psychologist in the Psycho-Oncology team at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.  She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and of the International Society of Psycho-Oncologists.

Julie works with a range of presentations including:

• Adjusting to stressful life situations such as new parenthood, migration and retirement

Julie is a warm and compassionate therapist committed to supporting others to navigate life's challenges, improve emotional well-being, and ultimately build more satisfying lives. She works in an authentic and collaborative style, drawing on evidence based psychological treatments tailored to each client's individual needs and goals. 

Julie's therapy modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy (Including Schema Modes). She also draws on her training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Parent Management Training (PMT).
