Rachel’s professional experience has been in inpatient and community hospital settings in specialist brain injury services working with adults and adolescents. She has previously worked in health services in Australia and the UK a range of roles including Case Management and Research.
Rachel’s aim is to provide a supportive and empathic environment to allow clients to identify their main concerns. Rachel values tailoring evidence based treatment plans to each individual client in a collaborative manner, with the aim of client’s independently managing their main concerns post treatment.
Rachel utilises evidence based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing dependent on client needs. In particular, she value engaging in exposure (both in vivo and imaginal) as an essential element in treating anxiety disorders and trauma. She provides values and goals directed therapy that is active and focused on achieving improvements.
